One Ingredient Puff

NomNomz starts with sorghum — not corn. Not a blend. Not a “grain product.” Just sorghum, grown by American farmers in America’s most productive grain region and cultivated by people who care as much about the supply chain as we care about the spice blend. Here’s exactly where it comes from and why that matters.

Our partners work with farmers committed to sustainable and regenerative practices — not just efficient, but restorative.
Certified & Tested
Our core ingredient — sorghum — is Certified Gluten Free (GFCO). Non-GMO guaranteed. Naturally low in heavy metals.

Allergen Note

While our core sorghum ingredient is certified gluten free and cultivated in a dedicated facility, NomNomz puffs are seasoned, baked, and packaged in a shared facility that also processes wheat, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, sesame, and tree nuts.

Farm to pantry. With sustainability built in the supply chain, for farmers, families, and the planet.

Ancient Grain.
Built for Today & The Future.

Sorghum has fed civilizations for over 8,000 years. It grows where others give up — in heat, in drought, in tough conditions of America’s Great Plains. And it does it on less water than any major grain crop on earth. This isn’t a trend ingredient. It’s the most underrated and sustainable grain — it’s been waiting for its moment.

A Grain That Gives Back
More Than It Takes

🌱
Soil Health
Sorghum stalks left after harvest add nutrients back into the soil, break up compaction, and retain moisture for the next growing season.
🌬️
Carbon Storage
Sorghum removes carbon from the atmosphere and stores it safely in the soil — actively improving air quality as it grows.
☀️
Drought Resilient
Sorghum’s deep fibrous root system allows it to withstand drought and resume growth after dry conditions — unlike corn, which wilts and stops.
🦅
Wildlife Habitat
Sorghum stalks provide critical habitat and winter cover for wildlife — a benefit no other major grain crop offers at scale.
💧
Water Conservation
1.5 trillion gallons of irrigation water saved annually across US sorghum farms. Enough to supply over 16 million homes.
🤝
Community Impact
US sorghum farmers are among the safest and most sustainably certified agricultural workers in the world. Your snack supports them directly.

In Summary...

Where is NomNomz sorghum grown?
In America’s Sorghum Belt — Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Colorado. The United States is the world’s largest producer of grain sorghum, and that’s exactly where ours comes from.
Is sorghum actually better for the environment than corn?
Yes — and this isn’t a marketing claim, it’s agronomy. Sorghum requires 30% less water than comparable grains, 91% of US sorghum acres are entirely rain-fed, and it actively improves soil health and sequesters carbon. Corn can’t say any of that.
Is NomNomz sorghum certified gluten free?
Yes. Our core sorghum ingredient is certified Gluten Free by GFCO with a strict farm to family process. Important to note: NomNomz puffs are seasoned, baked, and packaged in a shared facility that also processes wheat, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, sesame, and tree nuts.
Is the sorghum in NomNomz non-GMO?
Yes — and not because we work hard to make it that way. Sorghum is a naturally non-GMO crop. There are no commercially available genetically modified varieties. It is guaranteed GMO-free, always.
Why sorghum instead of corn or chickpeas?
Corn is one of the most heavily processed, allergy or sensitivity-triggering, and water-intensive crops in the snack aisle. Chickpeas are great but we found that even those snack puffs use a blend of other ingredients. Sorghum gives you a clean ancient grain with a neutral base that takes bold flavor beautifully, uses a fraction of the water, and doesn’t hide behind “corn starch” or “corn maltodextrin” or require other additives like rice or tapioca flour in the fine print. NomNomz puffs are made with 1 ingredient — sorghum.
Where is NomNomz made?
Seasoned, baked, and packed in Charlotte, NC — the Queen City. American grown sorghum. Made in the US by a mother-daughter with a dream to bring joy to snacking without compromise on taste, flavor or ingredient trade-offs.
